Do you remember the time when INTs didn’t matter in the NFL?
What do Jalen Hurts, Matt Stafford, and Dak Prescott have in common? They have all led the league in this statistic….
It Was All Good Just 2 Super Bowls Ago
The Los Angeles Rams are bringing Hollywood to AT&T Stadium with them during a key NFC WK8 matchup. Matt Stafford won Super Bowl 56 in his own Stadium at the age of 34, and he also led the league in interceptions with 17 that year. That same season Jalen Hurts had 9 INTs and 2 Fumbles lost compared to Dak Prescott’s 10 INTs and 6 Fumbles lost. When did everyone start caring about INTs anyway?
Nobody cared about this stat until Dak Prescott entered the chat last season after missing 5 games due to injury and tying the NFL record with 15 of his own INTs. Jalen Hurts currently leads the league with 8 in 2023. Does the media currently have a gag order now? What do all 3 of these quarterbacks have in common anyway?
One has won a Super Bowl leading the league in INTs, one has been to a Super Bowl and fumbled his opportunity to become a champion, and one has not even made it to an NFC Championship since entering the league. Oh, and they all led the league in INTs at one point over the last 3 years.
