In September 2016, I found myself submitting a paid NFL fantasy football lineup for a startup app called WIN-WIN. Founded by a former Indianapolis Colts player who went from tackle to tech. Mike Tauiliili was a Duke University graduate from Houston, TX with deep ties in Silicon Valley.
This was the rookie season of both Dak Prescott & Ezekiel Elliott. That lineup submission was for a special game of picking the best losers in September. I won. This prize was for the 2nd of October when the COWBOYS vs. NINERS game began that historical win streak that magical season at Levi’s Stadium.
I was fortunate to bring a cousin of mine from the Bay Area who is a diehard Cowboys fan along for the ride with on-field access before the game. True Story. After all the platform winners and guests met up in the Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football Lounge for a celebratory drink and pic, I told my cousin, “Let’s dip back to our seats to root for our team.”
