How “Protecting Prescott” with a new Great Wall in Dallas is Priority One

According to Statmuse Dak Prescott was the 7th most sacked QB in the NFL last season. Thirty-nine times. Dak’s not good. Considering he’s been injured before we see how that affects the chemistry of this team. With news surfacing recently about Tyron Smith potentially no longer a Cowboy it’s time to build back the “Great Wall” in Dallas during the 2024 NFL Draft.

Should Jerral extend Prescott as the highest-paid player in the NFL this season it may come at a cost. Specifically on the offensive line. All signs point toward the “Draft Whisperer” getting very offensive between the lines in the Motor City this April.

Word on the street is this draft class is packed with offensive line talent. Are we witnessing the perfect storm manifest? Possibly. The scouting combine ends today and the Cowboys have interviewed 36 of the 321 prospects per source. Many of them were offensive linemen.

Protecting Prescott should be priority one. Especially, if Jerral writes him the BIGGEST check in the league this season. Otherwise, it’s simply a bad investment to not have the…
