GREENER PASTURES AHEAD

Thanks to a mentor in Colorado during 2019 I discovered the many benefits of a WA state medical cannabis authorization as a veteran. For one saving money when buying medical cannabis at Clear Choice Cannabis my home dispensary in Tacoma, WA.

Thanks to a recent reclassification of marijuana the Justice Department on Thursday formally moved to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, a historic shift in generations of U.S. drug policy, according to ABC.

What does that mean for veterans who need an alternative to opioids for pain management? Get your cannabis cards. Here is how with Holistic Evaluations in Kent, WA. Tap their official site for more details.

The Benefits for Veterans — An alternative pain medication for your mental health. This was a decision I made to cope with my PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder diagnosis. Veterans will not lose their VA benefits in legal states. Please talk to your medical providers and begin the medical cannabis discussion.

  • Discounts: Discounts on your purchases at the medically endorsed retail stores sales and use tax-free.
  • Purchase more than regular recreational consumers: Purchase up to three times the current limits at licensed retail stores with a medical marijuana endorsement.
  • Grow 6–15 Plants: Possess six plants and eight ounces of usable marijuana. A healthcare practitioner may authorize additional plants to a maximum of 15; a patient so authorized may possess up to 16 ounces of usable marijuana produced from their plants (see RCW 69.51A.210).
  • Cannabis Farmers Market Access: A Medical Cannabis Authorization allows you access to Medical Cannabis Farmers Markets. These markets have products that are not typically found in retail stores and are not accessible to the general public without a Medical Cannabis Authorization.
  • Legal Support: Patients who are on parole or navigating other legality restrictions may need to submit authorization to the courts to continue consuming Cannabis for their medical conditions. I was able to medicate during my 2 year probation I served in Pierce County.
  • Employment Support: Companies who conduct drug screenings may require medical cannabis authorization to be kept on file if THC shows positive on a drug test. Note: Employers are not required to accept this, it is at the company’s discretion and their policy if accepting a medical authorization as a waiver of THC in a drug screening.
  • Under 21 access to Medical Cannabis: Patients who are under 21 will require Medical Cannabis Authorization to purchase cannabis products

Within the next 24 months, I project that cannabis will be fully legalized and available to everyone who can legally purchase it in this country. There are greener pastures ahead and for both you and I, I’m here for it.

Are you a new reader here? Be sure to follow me on Medium today. I will be sharing more medical cannabis content this NFL season. Here is that video for your viewing pleasure. You can apply, interview, and get your authorization via phone. I’ve never stepped foot into Holistic Evalutions.
