Drafting a QB and WR from the same team in your fantasy football league could be the difference.

A fantasy football strategy that could be the winning difference

Earlier in June Fox Sports published an article on who are the best QB-WR duos ahead of the 2023 NFL season. With that being said there is one combo left off their list that many fantasy football fans might not recognize just yet.

I have used this strategy for a number of years. Drafting a QB1 and WR1 or on one occasion a TE1 from the same team in my fantasy football leagues. This year will be no different. It is a pass-happy league after all.

One example was when Tony Romo was QB1 for the Dallas Cowboys. I always drafted TE1 Jason Witten in addition. For several seasons. Therefore understanding that Witten was essentially Romo’s safety blanket. One year I tripled up with Dez Bryant. Giving Romo 2 prime targets in the red zone.

I have been experimenting with the ESPN app mock drafts to test my theories further to share with you this season. Have you ever tried this strategy? If so how did it turn out for you?
