In The Trenches

Football teaches us a lot about life. Every parent wants their children to be winners, but unfortunately, someone’s child has to lose. Bryce and his Heir Monstars 13U brothers battled the best of the best on the AYF gridiron. Finishing 4th overall taught us both lessons on and off the field.

You can be the best football team in your city, town, or state, but. All year I have watched these young men excel locally in the Pacific Northwest. Traveling with your program as a parent on a national level was another wise investment. An eye-opener too.

In addition, I was fortunate to participate in both games. In the first game as an MPR (Minimum Plays Required) official. Every player must play at least 4 plays in a game or be disqualified as a result. It was a pleasure working behind the OG Ducks staff from Los Angeles RD1.

In the second game, a team of 3 Fathers stepped up and volunteered to run the chains Vs Brick City Lions. Big shout out to Kenny and Ward. All 3 of us were field-level. All present Fathers with our boys. In the trenches.
