Reign Man and The Glove become Emerald City game-changers twice
Above The Rim Game
Last night the NBA Network aired Reign Man and The Glove. A special dedicated to highlighting their individual and collective contributions to the NBA game. A player duo that was a must-see TV broadcast. Or in this case, pre-social distancing streaming.
In the mid 90’s I was relocated from Alameda, CA up to Bremerton, WA where the Puget Sound Naval shipyard is located. Both of my parents at the time were coffee enthusiasts visiting for the holidays.
They raved about some brand named Starbucks. Even as we walked together into Seattle’s Key Arena together that winter night to watch the Reign Man, and The Glove torch yet another NBA team on the hardwood court.
The funny thing is I had yet to even begin to drink coffee that early in my career. Eventually, I was able to later coach a men's varsity basketball team off my ship with guys I served with from the floor of Key Arena. Years later upon a return shipboard tour to the pacific northwest.
