In 1960, Tom Landry became the first head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, a position he held for 29 seasons (1960–88). While Tom Landry’s Cowboys are known for their two Super Bowls against Chuck Noll and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Landry also led Dallas to three other Super Bowls, and they were a Bart Starr quarterback sneak away from representing the NFL in the second Super Bowl. Tom Landry was 2–3 in Super Bowls, winning both in New Orleans and losing all three at the Miami Orange Bowl.

Creating History

Directly after the NFL Draft on April 29th we will commence the historical Dallas Cowboys 132-day kickoff countdown. Each day on social media I will share a daily post directed at the history of America’s Team. Once we reach the 99th day we will begin featuring individual players by their numbers to correspond with the countdown.

Who is this countdown for? Dallas Cowboys fans. Getting in the GYM daily with this countdown will allow you to reach massive gains this off-season. Let’s develop some off-season muscle together in the GYM this summer.

What is this countdown about? I am counting down the days this off-season until the Cowboys kickoff likely on September 8th. Directly after the draft, we have 132 days until the Cowboys season begins.

Why is this countdown important to follow? The day a Cowboys fan stops learning is the day you stop growing. Let’s get into the history…
