Do You Remember The Time?

I remember in 2016 when the Cowboys drafted Ezekiel Elliott fourth overall in the first round wearing his crop top. Eight seasons later he is set to visit AT&T Stadium during WK4 of the NFL season, as a visitor. Since his release the Dallas Cowboys appear to be in a pickle at power back.

In addition, Cowboys fans are now quickly singing the praises of Zeke 3 weeks into the 2023 season. When just a few short months ago it was all bad for the guy who lost a step after he got paid his “Big Contract” in Dallas. Thanks to the Cowboys Red Zone inefficiency this season fans are now looking in the rearview mirror at him. Instead of forward to the future.

This offseason I shared my 2 biggest concerns for this Cowboys team. Who will be the power back post-Zeke era, and who will be the kicker? The special team's concern appears to be fixed with rookie K Brandon Aubrey. I drafted him this season in my fantasy football league just to track him.

Three weeks into this NFL season, all I read now on social media are the comments from fans who miss Zeke and want him back…
