Salute to Service represents the NFL’s unwavering dedication to honoring, empowering, and connecting with our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families. It is grounded in deep partnerships with the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF), Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF), Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), United Service Organizations (USO), and Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). Since 2011, more than $66 million has been raised for these Salute to Service partners.

Money Makes the World Go Round

During a tour of duty onboard the USS John C. Stennis CVN-74, the GUN BOSS shared that the military was like a business with me. Without a bad guy, we have no job. It made sense. When it comes to the NFL and its annual Salute To Service campaign honoring veterans this too has become a colorful business.

Each November the NFL runs its Salute To Service campaign. During October you might have recognized all the PINK on the field. The NFL’s Crucial Catch just passed and now we turn to those in a different kind of uniform.
