There are 2 ways to roll 5 on the craps table in Las Vegas
Either Michael Jordan or 4 One For the Poor One
It’s A Vibe
If you’re a fan of the Chicago Bulls you know Michael Jordan. His Airness had a thing for gambling. If you watched The Last Dance on Netflix you saw it first hand. A $20 coin toss bet which he lost on the first throw. When it comes to throwing FIVE as your “Point” on the craps table in Las Vegas there are only 2 ways.
I shot dice for many years as a kid. On the streets of Taylor, TX too. You cannot get into a dice game with fear on you as cologne. Especially onboard an Aircraft Carrier at sea. You never go looking for a craps game either. You let the craps game come to you.
When your craps slanguage is up to par, and you begin to hit your points on the concrete you can watch your credibility rise on the street. There is no better feeling than when you get a legitimate SHOOTER on your table in SIN CITY, however. It brings the whole table belief in your every roll. You become the table’s VIBE.
Five happens to be one of my favorite numbers to roll on the craps table. Not because I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan either. The number 23 was mostly popularized by Michael Jordan who played in the Windy City. Allen Iverson below has nothing to do with this story…
