Darren Ray Woodson (born April 25, 1969) is an American former professional football player who spent his entire career as a safety for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL) from 1992 to 2003. He played college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils and was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft with the 37th overall pick.

Cowboys safety Darren Woodson has been passed over for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame after an exhausting eight times as a nominee. A 3X Super Bowl Champion and Cowboys all-time tackle leader with 1,350 career stops not a Hall of Famer? Who did he piss off?

The annual NFL Hall Of Fame game between the Bears and Texans will be held on August 1st at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. I attended my first game in 2021 when my favorite all-time Cowboy Drew Pearson & Head Coach Jimmy Johnson were jointly inducted. The Cowboys played the Steelers that year, and we lost.

Woodson’s achievements during his 12-year Cowboys career speak for themselves. He should have punched his ticket to Canton long ago. It took 33 years, but Pearson finally got picked. How many more years for Woody?
