HOW TO ROB an NFL fanbase through controversy like 50 Cent
Controversy is a lot of discussion and argument about something, often involving strong feelings of anger or disapproval.
Controversy Sells
The first word that came to mind yesterday when Jerry Jones shared that Trey Lance will make this 53-man roster was “Controversy.” Over the last several weeks I have been speaking it into existence. It’s a copycat league and 50 Cent taught me HOW TO ROB in 1999. Maybe Jerry took the same page I did out of 50 Cent’s playbook.
Remember 2 seasons ago when Dak Prescott went down 5 games with an injured thumb? Cooper Rush entered the “Controversy Chat” thanks to Jerry of course. We’ve all seen this movie before. Jerry’s announcement yesterday solidifies that more controversy is indeed inbound now with Trey Lance. Thanks a lot 50.
HOW TO ROB was a song released in August of 1999. This entire song was about ROBBING other artists in the game. Furthermore, his name will rise within it in the process. It’s creative. Just like Jerry. Especially with the media. How are the Dallas Cowboys now worth more than 10 Billion?
Ayo the bottom line is I’m a crook with a deal
If my record don’t sell I’ma rob and steal
You better recognize, nigga, I’m straight from the street
These industry niggas is starting to look like something to eat
I’ll snatch Kim and tell Puff, “You want to see her again?
Dance your ass down to the nearest ATM”
211 IN PROGRESS?
This NFL off-season I have been robbed emotionally and financially by the Dallas Cowboys. I know many of you have, and are continuing to do so. It’s the reality of a team like this with a toxic abuser that leverages controversy to make it sell. No other NFL team operates in this fashion.
I wouldn’t be complaining today if we had made an NFC Championship or Super Bowl in the last 30 years. This is flat-out embarrassing. Knowing how much my team is worth without any new hardware in the trophy case.
Maybe Jerry isn't ROBbing us with a gun at point blank. He informed us yesterday that ‘TRIGGER TREY” would make the 53-man roster. Killing the doubt and speculation about a potential trade. Meanwhile, Dak has no movement on his extension as we inch closer to Week 1 in Cleveland.
The final pre-season game against the Chargers at home in Arlington is this Saturday, and the “Controversy Stage” is set at AT&T Stadium. I’m calling it now. Let Lance have another positive game with a win to build on his resume. As his stock rises Jerry can use that against Dak’s agent Todd France in their current neogtions. All the while swhipping up “CONTROVERSY” like he did with Cooper Rush 2 seasons ago.
GET CLICKS OR DIE WRITING
Tomorrow I will be LIVE on Facebook in the GYM to discuss this “CONTROVERSY” Jerry is cooking up in Frisco, TX. I’m here for it. I saw it coming as soon as we traded for Trey. Check the files how I shared that RUSH is playing the PERFECT ROLE for Jerry’s campaign this election season.
Imagine going into Cleveland Week 1 with Prescott on his same deal. Let Lance cook at home in Arlington this Saturday, and watch what Jerry whips up in the media lab for us between them both. I’m here for it just like the media is.
This story and CeeDee Lamb’s holdout is all the talk for the Dallas Cowboys this off-season. It makes sense now if you think about it. Use the media to drive up your bottom line. Rob your players and their fans in the process as a result. The American way, or the Jones way? Either way, it’s all controversy. And it’s SELLING. You only need to know HOW TO ROB.
